The V Room, one of the jewels of the Long Beach bar scene, reopened Friday, after being closed for seven months.
The bar, located at 918 E. Fourth St., has been welcoming patrons inside since the mid-1930s but will be offering service exclusively outside for the foreseeable future since its reopening is contingent upon it adhering to the regulations that govern restaurants, these days.
So, not only will patrons be limited to seating outside, but the bar is partnering with Sideburns restaurant across the street for food service. Sideburns, which is attached to The Stache Bar, serves mostly hamburgers, hot dogs, French Fries, pickled eggs, you know, bar food.
For now, the bar’s adjusted hours will be Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Today, Saturday, Oct. 17, is the V Room’s official grand opening. If you were thinking of going by and welcoming them back, or maybe you’re just thirsty, here’s a few images to show you what to expect.
